Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your reservation and stay at Peter Island Resort & Spa ("the Resort"). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability. A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from the Resort. The Resort reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.

Deposits & payment

• —A deposit of 30% of the total accommodation cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
• —The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
• —For bookings made within 60 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
• —Payments are accepted by major credit card. All rates are quoted in US Dollars.

Cancellation policy

• —More than 60 days before arrival: Full refund of deposit, less a $150 administration fee.
• —30–60 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking value is forfeited.
• —Less than 30 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking value is forfeited.
• —No-shows: 100% of the total booking value is forfeited.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage. The Resort is not responsible for losses arising from cancellation due to weather, flight disruptions, or circumstances beyond our control.

Check-in & check-out

• —Check-in: from 3:00 PM. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
• —Check-out: by 11:00 AM. Late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
• —Valid government-issued photo identification is required at check-in.

Minimum stay

A minimum stay of three nights applies for all accommodations year-round. During peak periods (Christmas, New Year, and other designated dates), longer minimum stays may apply. Island buyout bookings are subject to separate terms.

Rates & taxes

Published rates are per villa or suite per night and are exclusive of applicable government taxes, service charges, and resort fees unless otherwise stated. The current British Virgin Islands hotel accommodation tax of 10% and a 10% service charge apply to all room rates. Dining, spa, and other services are subject to the same charges.

Guest conduct

The Resort is a private island sanctuary and guests are expected to respect the privacy and comfort of fellow guests and staff. The Resort reserves the right to ask any guest to leave without refund if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, harmful, or in breach of these Terms or applicable law.

Liability

Peter Island Resort & Spa shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience suffered by guests or their property, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. The Resort's liability is in all cases limited to the value of the reservation. Guests participate in water sports, excursions, and activities at their own risk and are responsible for their own travel and health insurance.

Force majeure

The Resort shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, hurricanes, acts of government, pandemic, or civil disturbance. In such events, the Resort will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative dates or a credit for a future stay.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the British Virgin Islands.
